Structure of the TECHNICAL HIERARCHY

Every organization has an organizational structure with areas, departments and groups, but the technical hierarchy in IT is missing. The result is that the better employees can only increase their salary if they take on responsibility, often personnel responsibility.

When that happens, you’ve almost always lost a good employee and gained an average manager at best. Since IT is developing very quickly, it is almost impossible to undo these transfers.

Every organization needs a technical hierarchy. An important employee in IT also has a responsibility for the company and should not be less valuable in the organizational hierarchy than someone with personnel responsibility. Otherwise, there will be a high risk of “promotion” into management or fluctuation.
